In the beginning god created embarrassment..

This particular fairytale started last May. Here in Mormonville, Utah, there's an unwritten rule that every lucky boy, and every lucky girl, shows off their fancy prom attire by wearing it to church the next day. Its must be a way to keep the celebration going, or get more bang for your daddy's buck? Either way, It was the Sunday after yet another dateless prom and i had almost forgotten about missing the occasion. As i brisked through the halls on my way to Sunday School, dressed in my brown cotton skirt, i got a few curious looks from people, but nothing to unusual. I opened the door to the classroom to find a chipper bunch of 16, 17 & 18 year olds. As i, the girl in the brown skirt sat down, I glanced up to realize I was the ONLY one not fashioning prom-wear!!! "Oh my gosh." I whispered to myself, and put my head down. Angered by the fact that i didn't stay home sick. After the class had ended and my dear friends had stopped comparing dates, I knew I would find some relief in the hallway. Just as left the class, there stood one of my neighbors awaiting to shake my hand. "Lacey!" he smiles. "Oh, Hi" I respond. "So, did you go to prom??" Oh dear, this man is seriously asking me this!? "Oh, no, i didn't actually." "What!? Why!?" Dear Adults of the World: NEVER EVER ask a girl why she didn't go to prom! You will find there are only two answers to this question, there was a death in the family, or and this is the more likely of the two, she didn't get asked. Bingo Sir! And there you have it, me, the pretty girl who doesn't get asked to the prom I realized my life is UN-promed, thats how this comedy started and these are my memoirs.
