Flat Tires and Bad Karma

Ever had a person who you thought was out of your life? And then once you declared that this person was out of your life for good, they came rushing back in???

......Oh me either. 

Life is funny, I must tell you I got an invite to my Senior Prom!!!... unfortunately that invite was an event on facebook someone from student council sent out to everyone. I clicked maybe. Sorry to disappoint anyone! haha

Yesterday while driving home from school I felt a THUD THUD THUD! when I pulled over I found my tire was shredded! So what does a skilled person like me do when called to a crisis like this??... Park my car and take a nap of course. What!? I don't have a spare, I waited for a ride, don't judge me!haha

I keep getting these calls from people trying to sell me a Kia Soul. I've counted 19. Here's a tid bit of advice; Never put your phone number online, YOU WILL GET STALKED! Just like my momma told me, except I always imagined I would get stalked by some creep who's got a thing for 15 year old girls and following them to Del Taco...nope! I get stalked by middle age white men who are looking to make some money with their Asain cars that happen to be driven by HUGE rodents! Watch the commercial if you don't believe me.

Nothing Happens, Nothing Happens AND THEN! Everything Happens

I swore this would be the last time I drank my diet coke before bed! We'll see.

I think I've come to realize that life is all about solving problems, in fact I'm pretty sure thats all there is to it?? Not to say that life is a beast and then we all die. Just thats all it is?? 

Think about it

There's those big problems  figuring out how your going to pay those bills, get your car working again, getting along with that one person, and then there are those problems that we love to solve, figuring out what to wear on that one special date, how to spend your  (blow) your paycheck, how to get off the ski lift without falling on your butt! At the end of the day when the problems are solved... are we satisfied?? Or are we just waiting for more problems? Being young I have this problem with romanticizing EVERYTHING I keep waiting for that one day when life will just start! And I prepare for that day like its going out of style! Seriously I think I love my future self more than I will love my own children! The truth is life is happening now! At 1:00 am in my bedroom with my laptop, life is happening, and its grand! I've been so blessed! I've got my diet coke my warm blankets a sleeping family, and endless opportunities tomorrow! But we'll just have to get there first! 

That was my Ghandi moment! 

P.S. I had a freaking awesome date last week! Pretty rad I know :) thanks brian, who doesn't read this because like six people in the world do :) ...for now!

Say yes to the dress, nope to the dope. (don't ask my grandpa made it up)

SOOOO... I REALLY wasn't planning on going to sweethearts this year, for no other reason than I just don't feel like it. I knew my friends were decking out 80's style wearing a collection of actual 80's dresses, and that seemed cool and all, but, I just wasn't feeling it. AND THEN!! A magical thing happened while shopping today. I saw the dress! It was purple and frilly! Gorgeous and hilarious all wrapped into one! I had to have it. So yes I do have a dress, do I have a date? Nope. Will I have a date? Its unlikely. Unless I can hurry and ask somebody quick because the dance is in less than two weeks. You know what!! I think I'll just hang at home in my awesome dress...maybe.....think...think...think! Ahhhh I WISH I actually went to school more, so I wouldn't have to reintroduce myself to this date. "Roses are red violets are blue, hey I'm Lacey remember how we were in the same english class that one time? LETS DANCE!" The curse of having two classes!
