Un-Promed? Well Technically?

Well Its been a few weeks.... But I've been Promed. Was It wonderful? Yes. Was it overrated? Yes and no. La Callie was beautiful! I seriously wanted to cry when I looked around! The food was amazing, my best friend and I looked super hot, bowling was fun. And then there was my date.....DUD! He was super nice and we had lots of fun BUT lets just say the next time I see him will be too soon. {M. I'm terribly sorry if you end up reading hard feeling k? We had some good times and now....well..} haha honesty is the best policy.
Bri and Me! Being super attractive as usual. Take note of our stunna shades
{Stunna- sooo 2007 but I just can't think of another word.. don't judge}
This Is the All Time favorite Moment of the evening.
Bowling in Prom dresses..pretty much the best thing that ever happened

Well it was fun, prom was fun but quite honestly the best part was spending time with my dear senior friends, because in a short while we're all growing up and moving on. It exciting and scary all at the same time! Like me dear friend Katie says "I knew we would all have to grow up eventually, I never thought it would be so soon."
The end.
But not really
This story will continue... its just too funny!

Daddy will you go to prom with me?....thank you for the free winsheild fluid sir

Don't worry I'm not going to prom with my father.
My Down's syndrome brother however......tempting?? He is a sophomore after all and the trend seems to be all the Seniors are asking Sophomores this year. Yeahhhhh no.
Well its official my poor parents feel sorry for me, they've made it their goal to find me a date, I don't see this ending well. I'm pretty much just ready for this dreaded day to be over already so we can look forward to something more positive....... like the apocalypse? No, I'm not sinister, just done. hahaha.

My dad was surprised to find out that when you go to a date dance: you, well, dance with your date, and only you date. When I laughed at him he explained "Prom was for cool kids.." And thats when I realized I'm my father, I got his good looks, His sparkly green eyes, His quick sense of humor, His charm with the opposite sex, and of course, THE CURSE OF LOSERNESS THAT GOES ALONG WITH ALL OF THESE QUALITIES! Why can't I be my momma instead??

10 days, god created the earth in 7 there is little hope, but little is better than none right??!

Okay actual story of the day, I was driving home from school {Its about a half hour because its hair school} I was on auto pilot for a few minutes when I realized Wow my windshield is dirty!I decided I would stop at the next gas station since I was completely out of fluid, needless to say I like to use it vs. scrapping my windows ANY day!
A few minutes later I was stopped at a red light when from the red car in front of me started spewing blue liquid, at first I was confused, then I wanted to honk to let this car know they were spraying stuff all over me!

Then it clicked!

I started laughing at myself because once again, I got exactly what I wanted. Just a little bit differently than expected. Just like everything in my life I'm a firm believer in

Lets talk about...

12 days left till my senior prom and it just ain't happening.
Last night I was so excited! I have this weird thing where I always expect my life to turn into some movie montage and I get my hopes way to high. Now, I understand life isn't a movie or anything crazy like that, but over the past few years there have been a few occurrences that made me wonder? Like those weird moments when you get EXACTLY what you wanted, and you wonder if there really is a hidden camera? For along time my evidence suggested that there might be.

ANYWAYS back to reality, last night, ohhhh, late, someone rang my doorbell; followed by the soothing sounds of a car screeching away. I thought:
This is it!! Everything, for once, is just going to turn out.... The universe has heard my prayers I'm finally getting asked to Prom!!! So as I ever so sheepishly opened my door expecting a cake or something you'd find in Napoleon Dynamite, I looked around to find...nothing. It was a legitimate doorbell ditching. I would really feel quite flattered if I were 13! But instead I sat on my porch feeling stupid and contemplating what went wrong in life?  I understand I'm making WAYYY to big of deal about this, but you would too if your prom was at La Caille! The IT place in utah, its French cuisine I'm talking 200 dollars a plate! See...Now your jealous! Lets continue this countdown, I have a feeling this week will be FULL of stories.

Flat Tires and Bad Karma

Ever had a person who you thought was out of your life? And then once you declared that this person was out of your life for good, they came rushing back in???
......Oh me either.
Life is funny, I must tell you I got an invite to my Senior Prom!!!... unfortunately that invite was an event on facebook someone from student council sent out to everyone. I clicked maybe. Sorry to disappoint anyone! haha

Yesterday while driving home from school I felt a THUD THUD THUD! when I pulled over I found my tire was shredded! So what does a skilled person like me do when called to a crisis like this??... Park my car and take a nap of course. What!? I don't have a spare, I waited for a ride, don't judge me!haha

I keep getting these calls from people trying to sell me a Kia Soul. I've counted 19. Here's a tid bit of advice; Never put your phone number online, YOU WILL GET STALKED! Just like my momma told me, except I always imagined I would get stalked by some creep who's got a thing for 15 year old girls and following them to Del Taco...nope! I get stalked by middle age white men who are looking to make some money with their Asain cars that happen to be driven by HUGE rodents! Watch the commercial if you don't believe me.

Nothing Happens, Nothing Happens AND THEN! Everything Happens

I swore this would be the last time I drank my diet coke before bed! We'll see.

I think I've come to realize that life is all about solving problems, in fact I'm pretty sure thats all there is to it?? Not to say that life is a beast and then we all die. Just thats all it is??
Think about it
There's those big problems  figuring out how your going to pay those bills, get your car working again, getting along with that one person, and then there are those problems that we love to solve, figuring out what to wear on that one special date, how to spend your  (blow) your paycheck, how to get off the ski lift without falling on your butt! At the end of the day when the problems are solved... are we satisfied?? Or are we just waiting for more problems? Being young I have this problem with romanticizing EVERYTHING I keep waiting for that one day when life will just start! And I prepare for that day like its going out of style! Seriously I think I love my future self more than I will love my own children! The truth is life is happening now! At 1:00 am in my bedroom with my laptop, life is happening, and its grand! I've been so blessed! I've got my diet coke my warm blankets a sleeping family, and endless opportunities tomorrow! But we'll just have to get there first!
That was my Ghandi moment!

P.S. I had a freaking awesome date last week! Pretty rad I know :) thanks brian, who doesn't read this because like six people in the world do :) ...for now!

Haaaa!! I want to go snowboarding like so bad!

Say yes to the dress, nope to the dope. (don't ask my grandpa made it up)

SOOOO... I REALLY wasn't planning on going to sweethearts this year, for no other reason than I just don't feel like it. I knew my friends were decking out 80's style wearing a collection of actual 80's dresses, and that seemed cool and all, but, I just wasn't feeling it. AND THEN!! A magical thing happened while shopping today. I saw the dress! It was purple and frilly! Gorgeous and hilarious all wrapped into one! I had to have it. So yes I do have a dress, do I have a date? Nope. Will I have a date? Its unlikely. Unless I can hurry and ask somebody quick because the dance is in less than two weeks. You know what!! I think I'll just hang at home in my awesome dress...maybe.....think...think...think! Ahhhh I WISH I actually went to school more, so I wouldn't have to reintroduce myself to this date. "Roses are red violets are blue, hey I'm Lacey remember how we were in the same english class that one time? LETS DANCE!" The curse of having two classes!
wish me luck!!

Your Just Jealous!!

Lets just come out and say it....Girls are mean!
I wish I could be nice and say "No, not really like the girls in the movies..."

BUT THAT WOULD BE A LIE!! Some are exactly as mean.

Today at hair school i was hanging out with two girls of who's names I will not mention because I DO love them to death, well sometimes? Anyways Here is how the conversations went;

Meanie Head One: "You know we really should have a "Bring Your Boyfriend to School" day! That way, all the girls who are having boy problems or are single will feel bad! Hahahaha!!"

Meanie Head Two: "Hahaha that would be so funny! Oh my gosh!"

ME: "Ahem, I'm right here you know..."

Meanie Head One: "Oh no, umm not you, well, uh, you could like pay someone to play your boyfriend??

Can you believe that crap! Haha WOW! Awesome. I guess I'm going to hire someone to be my boyfriend now so if your interested hit me up!
Not.   -L
